Stantec, with the financial support of Natural Resources Canada, has recently launched a 25-minute online course that teaches drivers how to safely save on fuel and vehicle maintenance costs. Through video clips, quizzes and interactive learning exercises, Ecodriving Online provides driving techniques, travel management tips and vehicle performance and maintenance tips.
Research shows that a fleet that spends $100,000 in annual fuel costs can save at least $5000 a year when its drivers implement the ecodriving techniques that are taught in Ecodriving Online.
On November 16th, 2010, the first Enviro-Fleets workshop for municipal fleet managers was held in London, Ontario.
