With over 35 years’ experience improving public and private sector transportation operations, Chris has established a reputation in the transportation community for leadership and using best practices to make fleet operations reliable, safe, clean and affordable.

Brought a leading non-profit association for electric transportation, Electric Mobility Canada, to achieve new levels of revenue and membership while increasing the adoption of electric vehicles across Canada.

Turned around the City of Hamilton’s Central Fleet to become the first fleet in Canada to earn an E3 Green Fleet Rating, recognizing excellence in fleet management while improving energy consumption and environmental performance by creating and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan and involving all stakeholders including Council, users and staff.

Co-authored the City of Toronto’s first Green Fleet Transition Plan (2004-2007) to introduce hybrid vehicles and renewable fuels to advance the market for “greener” automotive products.

Managed the transition of the fleet section at Enbridge to meet the company’s strategic objective of creating a separate shared services company. Achieved positive margins at competitive rates and increased external business opportunities.

By implementing advanced customer relationship practices, rescued Triathlon Leasing from losing its largest fleet client, Xerox Canada.

At the City of Hamilton, managed the fleet section with 9 garages and 58 employees including 51 CUPE members. Registered the central garage to ISO 14001. Created and implemented an award-winning Green Fleet Plan that significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions over a 5-year period.

At Enbridge, managed 5 garages and 49 unionized employees in the context of a competitive commercial enterprise.  Registered the central operation to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
